Things to do around the Estérel

The Estérel is a drive, not a destination: red volcanic rock dropping straight into a blue sea along the Corniche d'Or between Mandelieu-la-Napoule and Saint-Raphaël, with Fréjus a short distance further west.

There is no single sight to tick off, just a coastal road with pull-offs and viewpoints, best covered slowly by car or electric bike rather than rushed through in one pass.

Allow a half day if you want to stop often; the rock stays red whatever the light, but the contrast with the water is sharpest around midday. Saint-Tropez is a separate trip further along the coast, not part of this stretch.
