Things to do in Saint-Tropez
Saint-Tropez is not a quick trip from Nice: it is a day excursion around 110 kilometres away, and driving there in summer often takes 2 to 3 hours each way once you hit coastal traffic. Between June and September, a faster and more relaxed option is the seasonal boat from Nice or Cannes.
Once you arrive, the old port with its café terraces and superyachts, the hilltop Citadelle with views over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, and Pampelonne beach at Ramatuelle are the three reasons to make the trip.
Expect crowded streets and steep prices for parking, lunch and beach club sunbeds in July and August; a weekday visit in May, June or September is far less pressured.
